A two-storey cultural centre

The museum formally opened on 10 September 2016. Its two-storey interior is complemented by a courtyard and outdoor plaza. Routine activities take place on the ground floor, with particular programmes upstairs and more active events in the outdoor spaces. Language teaching, talks and practical workshops form part of its cultural work.

Objects and shared skills

A museum event on 30 July 2023 brought volunteers’ keepsakes, old photographs and documents together in a display of personal memories. Food included fried rice noodles, dried-cabbage soup and Hakka mochi. A handmade traditional marble game was paired with Hakka-language challenges, while volunteers and young creative practitioners also ran stalls.
