What to see
Pingjin Campaign Memorial Hall (平津战役纪念馆), on Pingjin Road (平津路) beside the Ziya River, opened in July 1997. Its complex includes Victory Square, the main exhibition hall and a multidimensional demonstration hall. Other historical sites include the Boxer movement’s Lüzu Hall (吕祖堂) site, the former Beiyang University (北洋大学堂), and Santiaoshi History Museum (三条石历史博物馆).
Riverside parks and food
The district’s parks include Xigu Park (西沽公园), Ziya Riverside Park (子牙河滨河公园) and Tianzi Jindu Site Park (天子津渡遗址公园). Its 2023 government overview lists the Tianjin Canal Peach Blossom Festival (天津运河桃花文化商贸旅游节) among local cultural events. Xibeijiao Food Quarter (西北角特色美食街区) introduces Tianjin’s local food culture.
