Orchards and oil-bearing trees
Citrus groves and camellia plantations spread across the county’s hills. Huyou is a recognised local product, and orchard-related cultural activities include blossom viewing and fruit-harvest events. Camellia oil has its own longstanding local identity; traditional pressing is accompanied by work songs, connecting food production with communal labour.
Stories drawn from local places
Changshan hecai songs (常山喝彩歌谣), a tradition of celebratory praise, are part of the county’s intangible heritage. Local theatrical work has drawn on the love story Qiongnu and Tiaolang (琼奴与笤郎), set against Sanqu Stone Forest (三衢石林). A2015 culture-ministry account records a rapeseed-flower cultural festival at Huibu (辉埠镇) and an old-town border-trade cultural festival at Qiuchuan (球川镇).
