A temple for the southern family branch
The temple belongs to the descendants of Confucius (孔子), whose southern branch settled in Quzhou after the Song court’s southward migration. Unlike a general Confucian temple, it served the family’s worship of Confucius and its ancestors. Its three axes include Dacheng Hall (大成殿), ancestral shrines and Silu Pavilion (思鲁阁), with the family residence and garden to the west.
