The sister bridges
Beijian Bridge (北涧桥) and Xidong Bridge (溪东桥) stand across the water from one another. Their timber arches use overlapping beams, with roofs covering the crossings. The Wenzhou Party School’s local teaching-site description places the bridges about200 metres apart.
Bridges within a village
The covered bridge cultural park includes traditional homes, a bridge exhibition hall and the Lin Family Compound (林家大院). The park groups its sites into bridge-culture displays, traditional mountain-village life and a traditional commercial pedestrian street. String puppet theatre is another local heritage tradition, adding a performing art to the area’s wooden structures and village setting.
