Forest paths and Qing-period stupas
A moss-marked path leads to the Qing-period stupa group associated with Zhongling Temple (钟灵禅寺). The stupas have inverted-bowl forms. The mountain’s walking circuit follows forest paths beneath the trees, combining woodland scenery with these remains of Buddhist religious life.
Beef and other local flavours
Xundian’s cattle are raised on the plateau and produce firm-textured beef. Niuganba (牛干巴) is salted and air-dried, with a savoury, salty flavour; clear-broth beef is accompanied by toasted chilli. Grilled potatoes have crisp exteriors and soft centres. Locally raised rainbow trout is also used for fish-bone soup, while rainy-season mushrooms appear in hotpots with local chicken.
