Setting and landscape
Zibai Mountain lies in the northwestern part of the county, on a branch of the Mount Taibai (太白山) range. Its scenery combines high mountain meadows and forest with peaks, caves, springs, streams and gorges. Zhang Liang Temple stands on Miaotaizi Street (庙台子街), 17 kilometres from the county town, beside the Sichuan–Shaanxi road (川陕公路).
What to see
The temple belongs to the Quanzhen Daoist tradition (全真派). Its Ming- and Qing-period buildings were listed as nationally protected cultural relics in 2006; inscribed plaques, couplets, stone stelae and cliff inscriptions fill the complex. In the county town’s old street, water runs beside snack shops, bookshops and guesthouses, with agricultural tools on display and local folk verses written on walls.
