What to see
Named destinations include Qinling Jiangshan (秦岭江山), Mangling Greenway (蟒岭绿道), Lianhu (莲湖) and Wohuling (卧虎岭). The district’s historical connections also include the Shangyu Ancient Road (商於古道). For local products, Xiaoyi dried persimmons (孝义柿饼) and Shangzhou walnuts (商州核桃) join morels, wood-ear mushrooms and shiitake among its foods.
Food and local products
Shangluo Heming mixed stew (商洛鹤鸣大烩菜) is a named local version created in 2009. A pork-bone broth forms its base, with red-braised pork belly, fried jiangshui tofu (浆水豆腐), white radish, Chinese cabbage and sweet-potato noodles. The ingredients simmer slowly in a large iron pot, producing tender meat, broth-soaked tofu and springy noodles.
