From plain to high peaks
The elevation rises from about 500 metres at Huilong Temple (回龙寺) in Hefeng Town (禾丰镇) to 4,984 metres at Lion King Peak (狮子王峰) in the Jiuding Mountains (九顶山). This elongated territory connects high northern mountains with the plain.
Yinghua Mountain woodland
Yinghua Mountain (蓥华山) has high peaks, clear streams and pools, and dense woodland. Its plants include dove trees, yews and firs, together with more than twenty kinds of alpine rhododendron. The Tian’e forest (天鹅林海) consists of nearly eight square kilometres of pine and other conifers. Shifang Municipal Government also identifies sunrise, cloud seas and mist as features of the mountain scenery.
