Forests at a municipal boundary
Lala Mountain, also called Daguan Mountain (達觀山), stands where Fuxing meets New Taipei’s Wulai District. The Tourism Administration describes a protected forest landscape established in 1986, with giant conifers, maples, beeches and birdlife. Autumn brings changing colours among its broadleaved trees.
Bridges, terraced land and mountain produce
Other Fuxing places include the Luofu and Fuxing bridges (羅浮橋、復興橋), the terraced landscape at Yeheng (爺亨梯田), the Jiaobanshan sculpture park (角板山雕塑公園) and Jiguopai Old Church (基國派老教堂). The Northern Cross-Island Highway (北部橫貫公路) links several mountain settlements and trail approaches. Local produce includes May peaches (五月桃), shuimi peaches (水蜜桃), mushrooms and bamboo shoots.
