Three contrasting storeys
Chajema Hall belongs to Riwoqê Monastery (类乌齐寺). Its three levels rise to a golden roof: the lower hall has vertical red, white and black stripes, the middle level is red, and the upper walls are white. The building measures about fifty-six metres long and fifty-one metres wide, reaching roughly thirty metres in height.
Springs beside a narrow canyon
Yiri’s spring outlets occupy a narrow strip about one hundred metres long, with five groups developed for use. Water temperatures range from thirty to fifty degrees Celsius. The adjacent Yiri Gorge (伊日峡谷) extends about ten kilometres. Wooded slopes and cliffs enclose a valley less than one hundred metres wide, narrowing to only a few metres in places.
