The Jin rulers’ cemetery

The museum presents Jin history, the history of excavations, and tombs with chariot-and-horse pits. Its finds include bronze, jade, stone and bone objects from the Jin rulers’ cemetery. The burial display encompasses nineteen tombs in nine groups, associated with the first nine generations of Jin rulers and their wives, plus nine accompanying chariot-and-horse pits.

Jiangshan and the Hui River

Shijing Shanshui Scenic Area (诗经山水景区) takes the Book of Songs (诗经) as its cultural theme. It lies at Jiangshan (绛山), an outlying part of the Zhongtiao Mountains (中条山). The landscape between Jiangshan’s northern foot and the southern bank of the Hui River (浍河) contains both cultural remains and natural scenery.
