Taro culture and a broad beach
A-Cong-Shih Taro Culture Museum (阿聰師芋頭文化館) explains taro, spring onions, pastry making and the company’s history, with taro-pastry activities among its offerings. Daan Seaside Park (大安濱海樂園) covers 17 hectares and has broad, soft sand; low tide exposes a wide stretch of beach.
Restored coastal habitat
At Guike Ecological Park (龜殼生態公園), restored habitat supports fiddler crabs, mudskippers and birds among the trees. The park is also a place to observe the coast at sunset. Nanpu Egret Woods (南埔鷺鷥林) adds another birdwatching site, with egrets and night herons beside the seawall.
