Meihua Lake and tea countryside
Meihua Lake (梅花湖) has a lakeside path and cycling routes. Zhongshan Leisure Agriculture Area (中山休閒農業區) is associated with Suxin tea (素馨茶), farm foods and agricultural interpretation. Dajin Leisure Agriculture Area (大進休閒農業區) is known for preserved fruits, while local agricultural products also include pomelos.
River ecology and temple places
Dongshan River Ecoark (冬山河生態綠舟) occupies the middle and upper river reach. Renshan Botanical Garden (仁山植物園) and the Xinliao (新寮瀑布) and Jiuliao (舊寮瀑布) waterfalls add other nature destinations. Jinxing Temple (進興宮), established in 1890, worships the Three Ancient Kings (古公三王); Taihe village (太和村)’s Yongfu Temple (永福宮) honours the Three Mountain Kings (三山國王).
