Two sides of Budanla
Budanla Mountain (布丹拉山), about 5,088 metres high, presents markedly different slopes: broken cliffs to the west and dense woodland to the east. Baiyu Valley (白玉沟) contains old forest and wildlife. The county’s earth-forest formations occur in the Qusum river valley and around Sewu Village (色吾村), shaped by weathering, heavy rain and cutting streams.
Qiuduojiang’s grassland and lake
Qiuduojiang Grassland (邱多江草原) is a pastoral landscape associated with cattle and sheep. Qiecuo Lake (切措湖), also in Qiuduojiang, lies below Yarlha Shampo (雅拉香布雪山). Its blue water reflects the snowy mountain, placing lake, grassland and high peaks within the same local landscape.
