The approach to Qiaoling
A straight spirit way leads towards Fengshan (丰山), with stone human figures and horses arranged along its sides. Stone lions survive with strongly modelled bodies. The mausoleum also shaped the county’s name: in 716 it became Fengxian County (奉先县), referring to service at the former emperor’s tomb; the name Pucheng returned in 971.
Tablelands and local museums
Pucheng’s ground generally falls from northwest to southeast, with tablelands, northern uplands and an eastern river valley. Other cultural stops include memorial museums devoted to Wang Ding (王鼎), Lin Zexu (林则徐) and Yang Hucheng (杨虎城), alongside the Beijing Time Museum (北京时间博物馆).
