What to see
Qilong’ao (骑龙坳), in Guanyingtan Town (观英滩镇), lies in the core of the local dome-shaped terrain; clouds gathering over the landscape are a feature of the view. Other destinations include Gufoding (古佛顶), Shiban River (石板河) and the Weimei Industrial Heritage Site (威煤工业遗址).
Food and local products
Sifang Village (四方村), in Xiangyi Town (向义镇), contains the World Fig Expo Park (世界无花果博览园). Fig cultivation, research, cultural interpretation and picking experiences are combined here, while the village also offers agricultural sightseeing and local-history experiences. Weiyuan figs (威远无花果) and Weiyuan mutton soup (威远羊肉汤) are two local specialities highlighted in the county’s tourism promotion.
