What to see

Liyushan Mud Volcano (鯉魚山泥火山) takes its name from a hill shaped like a carp. Underground gas, water and mud escape through fractures in the ground. The eruption points have shifted from the hilltop onto the plain. Even between eruptions, mud deposits and vents remain visible; the phenomenon is irregular.

Food and local products

Red beans are a well-known Wandan crop, grown alongside rice, edamame, bitter gourds, loofahs, wax apples and lemons. Dairy farming also forms part of the township's agriculture, alongside the rearing of pigs, chickens and ducks. Its farmland occupies a broad plain with plentiful groundwater.
