Museum and manor
Rapeseed flowers colour the valley in midsummer. The memorial museum occupies a fortress-like building partway up the hillside, covering the rise of the Yarlung tribe (雅砻部落), political unification and marriage alliances between the Tang (唐) and Tubo (吐蕃). Horkhang Manor (霍尔康庄园) stands in Chikang Village (赤康村); its displays include carved stones brought from the Jiasang Ancient Trail (甲桑古道).
Gyama Xieqin
Gyama Xieqin (甲玛谐钦), locally called chonglu (崇鲁), combines song and dance. Gyama Township (甲玛乡) established a troupe in 2012, and the tradition entered the autonomous region’s intangible cultural heritage list in May 2014. A June 2024 China Tibet News account describes troupe members rehearsing on Horkhang Manor’s stage during breaks from farm work.
