Qiuwuqiong’s snow peak
Qiuwuqiong snow mountain (秋吾琼雪山) stands about five kilometres north of the county town. Local stories portray it as a king with a queen and a minister. Argali, Tibetan wild asses, wild yaks, Tibetan antelope and brown bears inhabit the surrounding region.
Wetland and town life
Chazangla Wetland (查藏拉湿地) is in Buzha Village (布扎村), Xiongru Township (雄如乡). In the county town, Deji Road (德吉路) and Gesang Street (格桑街) contain Sichuan restaurants and Tibetan eateries. Tibetan noodles and yak meat are among the foods served along these streets, reflecting Saga’s role as a stopping point on National Highway 219.
