Lebu’s forest and houses
Lebu lies in the southwest of Cona. Its forests extend from low-elevation evergreen woodland to Himalayan fir at over 4,000 metres. Streams, waterfalls and steep cliffs break up the wooded scenery, while red pandas, bears and monkeys inhabit the area. Two-storey stone-and-timber houses stand on slopes above both banks of the Lebu River (勒布河), with red, green and blue metal roofs.
Local objects and a northern lake
Residents make wooden bowls, bamboo objects, Tibetan knives and woven carpets. Nari Yong Lake (拿日雍措) covers roughly 58 square kilometres. Shannan’s tourism bureau described it in 2012 as about 20 kilometres north of Cona’s county seat. Its Tibetan name means a lake of abundant wealth, and wind ruffles its blue water into white waves.

Entry & permits for Tibet (Xizang)

Confirm your approved route before booking transport. Requirements differ for Taiwan residents and for travellers using mainland or Hong Kong/Macao Chinese resident documents; check the document guide before you book.
