A chain of pools and lakes
Dolan River Wetland Park (多浪河湿地公园) developed from an area affected by sediment blockage, gravel extraction and polluted water. Restoration reconnected waterways, removed accumulated silt and intercepted sewage. Existing water bodies became a connected system of ecological pools and settling basins. The water passes through successive treatment areas before entering the river landscape through the city.
Birds among shaded paths
Lakes, water plants, flowers and tree-lined paths provide the park’s everyday scenery. Wild ducks and cormorants occupy the water, while egrets and grey herons are among its recorded birds. In autumn, the wetland serves as a migration stop where birds rest before continuing their journeys. An observation tower provides an overview of the park.
