Mountain villages
Sidu is reached from the county town by winding mountain roads through pine woods and bamboo. Xikeng Village (西坑村) is arranged in tiers on a high slope, with old houses grouped into a heart-shaped settlement pattern. A2018 Zhejiang Online report describes a two-storey timber bookshop in Chenjiapu (陈家铺), with literary gatherings and visiting writers bringing new cultural activity to the village.
Old routes and restored houses
Jieshou lies beside Songyin Stream (松阴溪). An old postal route runs diagonally through the village, lined with courtyard houses, grey tiled roofs, white walls and pebble foundations. Its Liu Family Ancestral Hall (刘氏宗祠) stands beside the stone-paved route. Local restoration work has emphasised retaining usable original building materials.
