Old workshops at Qinduli
Qinduli (秦都厘) occupies former workshops of Research Institute 210 (二一〇研究所). The redevelopment retains the grey walls, trusses, red brick and steel framework of its 1950s industrial buildings. Restaurants, craft workshops and creative shops now share the site, giving the surviving factory fabric a new role in everyday city life.
Huitong noodles
Huitong noodles (汇通面) take their name from the Huitong crossroads (汇通十字). They combine the topping-heavy character of saozi noodles (臊子面) with dry-mixed noodles: plentiful ingredients and little broth. Typical toppings include potato and carrot with meat sauce, while chilli oil supplies a spicy aroma.
