The old museum courtyards
The old Xianyang Museum (咸阳博物馆) on Zhongshan Street (中山街) occupies a Confucian temple founded in 1371. Its four courtyards face south, with halls, side galleries and ceremonial gateways. In its 2022 account, the district gazetteer lists a Han jade horse, painted figurines and Tang goldwork among the museum’s collections.
A crossing beneath the lakeside
Xianyang Ancient Ferry Site Museum (咸阳古渡遗址博物馆) stands on the eastern section of Weiyang Road (渭阳路). It combines protection and display of the excavated crossing. The preserved site connects the modern lakeside with the history of transport, trade and changes in the city’s shape.

The Han Yangling Museum (汉景帝阳陵博物院) was founded on Hanyangling, the nationally protected mausoleum of Emperor Jing of Han and Empress Wang, and opened in 1999. The provincial cultural heritage administration places it on the bank of the Wei River in the northern outskirts of Xi'an, while the catalogue assigns the site to Weicheng District in Xianyang; the two are recorded here as they stand.
