Groves, gardens and village recreation

The county’s locust groves flower in May, and viewing points overlook the woodland. Yunji combines a glass walkway, horse grounds and a corridor themed around the Book of Songs (诗经). The county’s itinerary groups Yongping and Zhaili with a botanical education garden and greenhouse picking. Zhaili lies within Jianjun Subdistrict (监军街道), and hosted a medicinal-food cultural festival in May 2026.

Blossoms on the table

Local specialities include locust-blossom maifan (槐花麦饭), blossom-filled buns (槐花包子) and blossom cakes (槐花饼). Yongshou’s wider food repertoire includes lamb paomo (羊肉泡馍), hele noodles (饸饹) and locust-flower honey (槐蜜). At Yongping, blossom dishes featured in the May 2026 food celebrations.
