Green grooves at Laomei
Laomei’s Green Reef (老梅石槽) combines fine sand with an eroded rocky shore. Algae attach to the volcanic-rock grooves, giving the coast its green appearance. The colour is generally visible from mid-March to early May, especially around the Qingming period (清明).
Cape and lighthouse
The coastal path at Fugui Cape passes seaside plants, wind-shaped trees and an irregular reef shore. Its octagonal lighthouse, completed in 1897, has a contrasting black-and-white exterior. Nearby wind-faceted rocks have surfaces worn by sand; changing wind directions and shifts in the rocks’ positions have produced varied angular forms.
