Gardens and family rooms
The garden includes Laiqing Pavilion (來青閣), formerly used to receive distinguished guests, and Yuebo Waterside Pavilion (月波水榭), set in the middle of a pond for moon viewing. Dingjing Hall (定靜堂) hosted large family banquets. On the western side of the property stands the Sanluo Mansion (三落大厝), whose swallowtail roofs carry carved turtles symbolising longevity and qilin associated with good fortune.
Nanya’s street food
Nanya Tourist Night Market (湳雅觀光夜市) extends along a 500-metre street centred on Nanya East Road (南雅東路). Foods include sesame-oil chicken and small steamed buns. Fried stinky tofu has a crisp exterior and soft centre, accompanied by pickled vegetables; fried oysters are paired with basil.
