Wenbu’s stone houses
Wenbu South Village (文部南村) contains old stone houses of differing sizes and construction. Many have stone roofs as well as stone walls. Their construction dates remain uncertain: local stories claim a history of a thousand years, but the county tourism bureau notes that archaeological investigation is still needed.
Darguo and the sacred lake
Darguo snow mountain (达尔果雪山) and Dangra Yumco (当惹雍措) are revered together in Bon (苯教). Seven peaks surround the main summit, known as the “seven armies of warriors”; eight further snow mountains form another named group. In local belief, these mountains are a gathering place of ancient Zhangzhung deities (象雄诸神), linking the terrain to religious tradition.
