An excavation site and mounted fossils
World Dinosaur Valley lies in Konglongshan Town (恐龙山镇). Its fossil exhibition includes mounted specimens and an indoor protected excavation site. The surrounding complex is organised into dinosaur-culture displays, an amusement area and a resort area. The amusement park’s themes follow the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods, alongside a dinosaur animation and science-fiction world.
Courtyards in the river valley
Heijing stands in the Longchuan River valley (龙川江河谷). Salt wells, brine pools, old workshops and traditional streets survive in the town. The Wu Family Courtyard (武家大院) has ninety-nine rooms and 108 doors, arranged in a plan resembling the Chinese character wang (王), meaning king. Local dishes include pomegranate flowers, salt-braised chicken and ash tofu.
