Seven storeys of brickwork

Wugong Town (武功镇) contains Baoben Temple Pagoda (报本寺塔), whose brick tower stands in the northern part of the town. Baoben Pagoda has seven octagonal storeys, narrowing as they rise. Brick brackets and carved details articulate the exterior, and real and false arched doorways alternate around the tower. Wugong County Government notes that its original foundation date remains uncertain, while the brick tower dates to the Northern Song.

Agriculture and handmade noodles

Jiaojia Terrace (教稼台) is traditionally associated with Houji (后稷) teaching people to grow crops; that connection is presented locally as a legend. In Kongyin Village (孔尹村), Changning Town (长宁镇), households make handmade dried noodles, valued for their fine strands, firm bite and smooth texture.
