Pear trees along the river
Spring blossom spreads along both banks of the Dajinchuan. Sha’er Township (沙耳乡) has particularly dense pear plantings, while Qingning Township (庆宁乡) has a pear-tree garden containing century-old trees. The county’s flower-viewing points include the Shida’an Viewpoint (石达安观景台) and the Shenxianbao Viewpoint (神仙包观景台) in Sha’er. Pears are also one of Jinchuan’s main agricultural products.
Temples and mountain country
Guanyin Temple (观音庙) is a Tibetan Buddhist pilgrimage destination in the county. Guanyinqiao Town (观音桥镇) lies in northwestern Jinchuan, 85 kilometres from the county seat, in a landscape where farming and pastoral livelihoods coexist. Across the wider county, high mountain valleys, forest lakes, snowy peaks and meadows accompany the cultivated river corridor.
